23rd March The afternoon began with a shared lunch at 12noon. During the afternoon a gathering, of people of all ages, reflected together on the events of Holy Week through prayer, reflection, Activity Stations along the way of the Cross, and through the making of their own Easter Garden. This was a meaningful and beautiful intergenerational ‘family’ afternoon. |
Beaumaris & Llangefni Parish BBQ
1st September 2024 Thanks to all those who supported last Sunday’s BBQ. The rain did not dampen the enjoyable afternoon, of good company, conversation, games and great food. All food items and equipment were donated. £150.80 was collected. Thanks to all who came and to our Social Committee organisers. Spanish Night
St Mary's Hall. Holyhead 15th June 2024 Afternoon at Plas Cadnant
Parishioners from across the island had a lovely afternoon at Plas Cadnant on Sunday 14th April, an event organised by the Beaumaris-Llangefni social committee. We were blessed with good weather: sunshine and no rain ! We were met at the entrance by Anthony Taverner, the owner, who talked to us about the interesting history of the house and gardens. We then had refreshments in the cafe. Several of us decided to stroll around the gardens including tackling the decent to the waterfall and deceptively steep path back up (!). Others enjoyed lively conversation whilst enjoying the view from cafe. On return from the walk we treated ourselves to tea and cake to round off the afternoon. The afternoon was a great opportunity to chat, catch up with people we knew and also to make new acquaintances. The added bonus was being able to celebrate Fr Godfrey’s 20th ordination anniversary with him, which happened to be on 12th April. Llongyfarchiadau /congratulations Fr Godfrey!
